FAQs

I will attend the Forum in person. Could you help me with some info and suggestions on accommodation and facilities?

Yes. Please find some useful information in Forum’s website dedicated session: https://www.forumdesignprocess.org/dgdw22/venue/ (this is an evolving section with always updated information on venue). Furthermore, in the registration phase when arriving at the Forum you will receive a “welcome kit” with some useful information and material to better orient yourself in Bologna.

I will present my paper in the Forum: are there any formal requirements to take into consideration (i.e, number of slides, duration of the speech, Forum’s own template…)?

Each presentation will be no longer than 15 minutes. The Scientific Committee have decided to leave presenters free to choose and use their own template/font and only require them to put the Forum’s logo in the slideshow.

My paper has been accepted with some integrations: do I have to send you the revised abstract before my presentation at the Forum?

No, this is not required. The Scientific Committee requires for the revised abstract after the conference when submitting the full paper (September, 30th 2022). Please note the full paper, too, will be subject to a blind review process.

The paper I’ll present is written by different co-authors. If all of us attend the Forum, do each of us have to pay the participation fee?

Yes. Each participant has to pay his/her own fee which is needed to cover all the Forum’s organizational expensens. Please note that by “participant” we mean all people attending the Forum, regardless of their attendance is live or remote.

Are there any “early bird” registration fee and/or discount based on specific conditions?

The early bird fee is extended until May 7th. Registration fees are of three types (regular, student and attendance fee , please find the related details here: https://www.forumdesignprocess.org/dgdw22/fee/), no additional “specific conditions” have been provided.

I will not be able to attend the three days of the conference: do you provide for a reduced-price ticket?

No. In this purpose, as we believe in the value of active participation and deep discussion, we encourage all participants to take part to the whole Forum to take advantage of the variety of topics and approaches provided.

I have submitted two (or more) papers and they have been accepted in different tracks. Can I be a presenter in all of them?

There are no formal restrictions on that. Nevertheless, to ensure diversity and plurality of voices, we do not recommend this approach and suggest to choose one “elective” track (in case of paper with single author) or make sure to invite/enable other co-authors to present (in case of paper with two or more co-authors).

My University will pay the fee for my participation. How is the procedure for the payment on behalf of a Public Administration entity?

There are two ways to proceed:

  • The PA issues an order form with all the info, the name of the participant for whom it is paying, a unique code and the amount to be paid, and sends it to us and our administration;
  • The PA sends an email containing all these data to us and our administration.

Only after receiving this information, our administration will proceed with the invoice for the payment. In any case, the participant must register via the Registration Form.

How will I receive the payment invoice upon registration?

For participants residing in Italy, the receipt is issued in the form of an electronic invoice registered in the Cassetto Fiscale (telematic service of the Agenzia delle Entrate). For participants residing abroad, the Administrative Department sends automatically the receipt by e-mail.
